Interviews: Temtris

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal band, Temtris from Australia. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We wanted a female-fronted-sounding name. Temtris worked for us. We just changed the spelling for the logo to work.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We love a lot of Metal styles but this is probably our favorite. Twin guitar attacks, big riffs, catchy choruses, and power vocals.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Anthony Fox and I went to school together. We played in a band in high school, doing mostly covers with a few originals. The other members have become family along the way. The rest is history.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Genevieve - Queensryche Anthony

Fox - Flotsam & Jetsam

Nicholas - Stratovarius

Nadi - Dream Theatre

Vane - Iron Maiden

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I take inspiration from life events or people I have dealt with, good or bad. Our latest album is a concept story so that was fun to write and come up with a fantasy/ dystopian album.

6. Where was your last gig?

We headlined a show in Melbourne. Took us 9 hours of driving to get there. But was worth the effort.

7. Where would you like to act?

We definitely are keen to get overseas this year to Europe and the UK. Japan is also on our list.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

That's a big list .. Metal Church, Primal fear to name a few.

9. Whom not?

Any country and western band

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

I get nervous at most shows. But that's only because we like to give our best. You have to trust all the rehearsals you've put in will pay off for you on the night

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Any bands that have pushed on and released albums, especially through the last few years. It's been a tough time for musicians.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

My address is to send me clothes to wear on stage.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are amazing and become family. Without them, we would be nothing.

14. What do you think of our site?

Breathing the core is fantastic and your ongoing support for music is amazing. Bands really appreciate having a voice which can only happen with sites like yours.
