Interviews: Wolves In Winter

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Doom Metal band, Wolves In Winter from the UK. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It wasn't planned. The band name came from a Demons and Wizards track and we thought it suited us.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We all enjoy heavy music and playing it just seemed the next step.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yeah, kind of. Izak and Wayne have been in a band together. Izak and Adam used to work together. When we were looking for a 2nd guitarist Wayne put a post out on social media and Enzo contacted us. Jake was asked to join by Izak as they'd gigged together in other bands and liked each other's music

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Jake - Motorhead

Wayne - Jawbox

Izak - Venom

Adam - Killswitch Engage

Enzo - UFO

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We all listen to different styles of music and it just comes from there. If you look at the list of bands we all like i don't think you'd imagine we'd play what we do.

6. Where was your last gig?

The Alma Inn, Bolton, UK

7. Where would you like to act?

Anywhere and everywhere.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

To be honest we're happy to gig with anyone.

9. Whom not?

We have no issue with playing with anyone else

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Everyone suffers a little. Be it forgetting how a song starts to worry if your equipment will break mid-set. It's easy to say don't worry but nerves are a good thing - They can help you focus.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We all like the usual bands like Candlemass, Saint Vitus, and Trouble. But we take inspiration from Jawbox, Vemon, Judas Priest, Dio.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

When it happens we'll let you know.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They're all awesome.

14. What do you think of our site?

It's a good site. We like your idea of asking about how the tracks work, it's a good read.

15. Something to add?

We hope people enjoy reading our answers and it was a pleasure answering them.
