Track By Tracks: Mori Metanoia - Prayer (2022)

1. PRAYER:

Our first player, at the tail end of an intense cathartic change. They stand on the edge of the last precipice of their transformation. All that is needed is a leap of faith.

2. I SEE YOU:

Enter the healer. They are putting themselves on the front lines to try to save as many people as they can. Unwavering in their commitment. Deeply entrenched in the belief that all can be made right. A belief that will be tested.

3.GRAVE:

A lone soul. Unable to leave their apartment. Watching the days slide by in some kind of unstoppable surreal flow. Feeling they are slowly slipping away.

4. SURFACE TENSION:

Our fourth character is slowly cracking under pressure to conform to the societal values being thrust upon them. Values they do not believe are true. There are literally two different voices within them vying for control. Which will emerge the victor?

5. GOD BLESS THE CHILDREN:

The children of the world, questioning their future. And finding no comfort in the answers.

6. ISOLATION:

This is the character from GRAVE, now speaking directly of their situation. Reflecting upon their life. Questioning their decision to do as they have been told. Their hold on their reality is a slippery slope. And they are slowly sliding...

7. A PARTING REQUIEM:

This a brief interlude, to mourn for what has come to pass thus far, and prepare for all that may yet come.

8.BOUND: 

Our friend from SURFACE TENSION has become a shadow among shadows. An unobserved observer of life as it ebbs and flows around them.

9. URBAN CRAWL:

This is the storyteller from I SEE YOU, worn down. Precariously balanced at the edge of a chasm of hopelessness. Weary of service to others. Their belief all will be fine has taken quite a hit, and is on the verge of being broken.

10. HALL OF MIRRORS:

Commentary on society as a mob, spurred to action via the clouded lens of social media. Fractured, desensitized, deluded, and dispensing misinformation.

11.IN.DI.VISI.BULL.IT:

An autocrat who feels they are doing good things. Willfully ignorant of the truth. Ruling over the people who put them in power with a pompous certainty that causes problem after problem for everyone but them. It is time for this to end.

12. DECAYING:

Epilogue 1: A soul has been cut deep, and left in a hollow existence. A lonely apparition, asking the eternal question over and over, again and again.

13. SUBSIDE:

Epilogue 2:. The completion of a radical process of metanoia. Our friend we began this sonic journey with, from PRAYER. Now fully transformed via meditative immersion. They have found true peace, contentment, and, even more importantly, connection to the “more and more” that is the infinite possibilities inherent in all life.

14. PRAYER (REPRISE):

An ecstatic world offering, celebrating the culmination of the journey of transformation made by all of the players in the story.
