Interviews: Angry Corpses

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Thrash Metal/Crossover band, Angry Corpses from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Ken Ballone came up with the name around 1982-1983. Originally it had been a punk band until he met me and Keith Davis who were THRASHERS and that's when the CROSSOVER sound formed.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

More like GENRES... As CROSSOVER was a mix of punk metal and hardcore. And we loved all 3 styles, especially playing them on our instruments.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

The original Angry Corpses knew each other or had friends that made the introductions. Since we all lived In Bergen county NJ and were all in local High Schools at that time in the 80s... you heard rumors of other musicians from the scene and met a lot of the times at shows. This lineup was formed also through friends mostly in the hardcore scene

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Ken: The Misfits

 

Tim: Suicidal Tendencies 

Donny: Neil Young

Walt 'Monsta': AGNOSTIC FRONT

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The media, the politicians, the tv, cell phones, social media, or any and all the things that fuck with me subliminally. 

6. Where was your last gig?

In NJ at The STANHOPE HOUSE

7. Where would you like to act?

Not sure no actors here

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Well as it goes this record has CAPPADONNA of WU TANG CLAN so that's a HUGE check off the bucket list but hmm how about WADDIE of THE EXPLOITED that would be SICK AS FUCK

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Not me and not to my knowledge any of the other guys we truly feed off the energy

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

The ones that have stuck together and are on their 40th album

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

If I could play guitar on his record haha
