Interviews: Blood Of The Wolf

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Blackened Death Metal band, Blood Of The Wolf from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, did you plan it or came out just like that?

Blood of the Wolf sounded like a cool band name! The idea behind the name comes from sword lore and the myth of animal bone (from a large animal like a wolf or bear) being used in the steel of the blade.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I think extreme metal is the most powerful music on earth and I was attracted to it.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, to some extent. I would say we were all acquainted, having been in various bands in the Chicago scene for the last 20 years or so.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

That’s a great question! I don’t know if I have a favorite band. I have favorite albums by beloved bands. I definitely don’t know the other guys’ favorites, but I’ll guess.

Max – Vader

Frank – Immolation

Chris - Emperor

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Metal. Listening to what other bands are doing, or listening to albums I love is constantly inspiring.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was at the West Chicago Social Club with Jungle Rot. It was a great show!

7. Where would you like to act?

Anywhere outside of Illinois would be great!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

God Dethroned, just because it would be cool to see them live again. 9. Whom not?

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

No, none of us has ever suffered from stage fright. The best way to cope with it is to expose yourself to it.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

All the bands that have been around 30 plus years now like Cannibal, Deicide, Marduk, etc. It is hard work to keep a band going for that many years!

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nothing comes to mind.

13. What do you think of your fans?

I have a massive appreciation for our fans. I am grateful to anyone who has bought any piece of merch from us or has told a friend about our music.

14. What do you think of our site?

It’s great! Thanks for helping us bands out!

15. Something to add?

Thanks for the interview!
