Interviews: Diseased Earth

Welcome to this interview with the Death Sludge Metal band Diseased Earth, hailing from the USA. Today, we will be talking about the origins of their band name, their history, and their future plans. Stay tuned to hear more from the band and don't forget to follow them on Facebook to keep up with their latest updates.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Our bassist joe actually suggested it. It’s how we view humanity and that we are a virus to this planet and only care about what benefits ourselves and not others.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

There is nothing more therapeutic than standing on stage and watching a bunch of people beat each other up to some music you created. It’s the most addictive drug I’ve ever felt and nothing expresses what we feel inside, quite like heavy music.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed

We kinda all met each other along the way. We were aware of each other from different bands and such

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Too many to list honestly, we like a lot of music across multiple genres.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Our guitarist Paul said it best “we play music to keep the sad away”

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last show was at the crayola house in Harrisonburg, VA. It’s a basement that has held shows for over 30 years now.

7. Where would you like to act?

Anywhere with a crowd who wants to hear our music

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Tom waits

9. Whom not?

Racists or Nazis

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

I think we all suffer a tiny bit here and there, but once the music starts, it goes away and there is nothing but the mission, show the world the power of the riff.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Thou, Crowbar, Thin Lizzy, Slayer

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Never really had to deal with any weird requests

13. What do you think of your fans?

Love our fans, they are a big part of what keeps us going

14. What do you think of our site?

Its a great site.

15. Something to add?

Keep tabs on us on our social media and hope to catch each and everyone of you in the pit one day.
