Ladies and gentlemen, today we have the honor to interview the multi-talented musician and songwriter, Jon Of Mars, who has been shaking up the Heavy Metal, Fusion Metal, and Nu-Metal scene with his electrifying music. Hailing from the USA, Jon has gained a huge following for his unique style that blends different genres seamlessly, creating a sound that is both intense and captivating. For those who want to stay updated on Jon's latest music and performances, be sure to follow him on his Facebook page.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It’s my middle name combined with my favorite red planet, a nod to one of my favorite book series, and it sounded really cool; It was a no-brainer for me, no second guesses or anything.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I am a slut for creation via fusion, and Nu Metal gives a lot of space for that. I would wager that it is one of the most universal genres in the music industry.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yeah! Wendall is the bassist for my other band, too; I’ve known Jordan for what feels like decades, but we met when we were both in high school, but we went to separate schools.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Maximum the Hormone, Meshuggah, Bullet for my Valentine

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Usually, I pick a topic from the cesspool of observations that I have about the current state of humanity and run with that, but sometimes I look to universal inspiration by turning the pages of the nearest book and randomly stopping, where my finger lands are what it’s about.

6. Where was your last gig?

Home, Oil City, PA

7. Where would you like to act?

I would love to be in any movie in the Marvel MCU, or in any movie starring either The Rock, Adam Sandler, or Kevin Heart.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Devin Townsend, for sure. The guy is a madman scientist who creates sonic destruction with his voice while delivering ridiculous guitar riffs from his mighty hands.

9. Whom not?

Honestly, Gene Simmons, the guy seems pretty full of shit from my point of view. Everyone else in KISS is cool though.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Every single time I get on the stage, the best thing I can tell you is you have to find a way to redirect all of that energy into the performance somehow to ground yourself.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Bands like Slipknot, SYL, and The Misfits; started from absolutely nothing and did things as best as they could on their own terms, we respect the hell out of anyone who can do that.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

To cough directly into their mouth, it was my friend Chris, hi Chris! We call him Chras because it’s more suiting.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They’re awesome, with nothing but support and love from the fans thankfully, and maybe even a little bit of constructive criticism too! Feedback is always good!

14. What do you think of our site?

There is a lot of cool shit about other bands on your website, it’s neat to see explanations behind some of the albums/music!

15. Something to add?

Yeah! Jon Asher is the man; brush your school, stay in your teeth, don’t do drugs, please!
