Interviews: Sig & The Fire Pilots

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band, Sig & The Fire Pilots from the UK. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that

 It was all planned. I wanted to give the band their own identity whilst keeping my own, And I like the idea of literation. So Sig And The Fire Pilots has 3 I’s in the name,(Sig-Fire and Pilot) And there are 3 I’s (individuals) in the band .. Sig-Dave n Duggie (Hope that makes sense)

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I love the idea of songs and melody,(Approachable-Listenable) But live, it's nice to be able to rock out now and again, So we try and blend a bit of everything ..(Old Pyjamas Peas Tomatoes Mutton Beef and trout) Throw it all in …Lol

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I didn't know Dave, But I knew he ran The Music Venue (The Station) in Cannock UK, So I knew where to find him, As for Duggie, We both knew him well, We were struggling to find the right drummer, But once Dave had the idea to give him a call, he became the obvious choice …

4. Each band member's favourite band?

Sig - All of them!

Dave – Chilli Peppers n

Dug - Soundgarden

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Can get an idea for a song from anywhere really, a Bird song, a guitar riff, a phrase ..a challenge, And the magical place between sleep and dreams ..(That’s when the band in your head plugs in! Lol

6. Where was your last gig?

The Station... 

7. Where would you like to perform?

Everywhere, it really doesn't matter ..Just wanna play. Big venues-Small venues...Would love to go on a support tour...

8. Whom would you like to perform with?

Always fancied supporting Chrissie Hynde And The Pretenders...For some reason, I think it would work really well.

9. Whom not?

We wouldn’t turn anything down but secretly James Blunt and anything similar.

10. Have any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Try and focus on the end game...If this is something that your heart is set on, then playing live is something that you need to accept as part of the job.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

All of them! I can't distinguish between any of them! From The Manics to Motzart From Lizzy to Living Colour...

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Captain Sensibles autograph, Twice?

13. What do you think of your fans?

Fans are everything...You are nothing without them .

14. What do you think of our site?

I think Its brill. I think we have such a wealth of talented new bands coming through in the UK. I like to think of it as a bottleneck that's about to explode. Lol And thanks to Breathing The Core and others, It's an absolute blessing that we get a chance to be seen and heard and promoted
