Interviews: Terror Activator

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Crossover/Thrash Metal band, WHYTHRE from Latvia. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It was born by combining alcohol and 5 alcoholics, no meaning behind it, just thought it sounded well and easy to remember.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

The genre is fun and associated with crazy partying - the things we value in life the most

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, we've known each other since our school years.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Ernests (Vocals) - The Libertines

Pavels(Drums) - Metallica

Vadims(Guitar) - Municipal Waste

Eduards(Guitar) - Pantera

Alex(Bass/Back Vocals) - Gorod

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Both old-school thrashers and a new wave of this genre. Moshing and all the wild people around us listening to us and attending gigs.

6. Where was your last gig?

Home town - Riga, Latvia. Had a lot of fun and beers during our album presentation.

7. Where would you like to act?

Any city in any country would be nice for us.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Rick Astley

9. Whom not?

No such artists. Ready to play with anyone.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Every time, different levels of it are there before each gig and this is one of the best parts of playing live. Anticipation often comes with feeling a little bit nervous. The crucial thing is to remember not to cope with it, but to consider it your friend, not an enemy. Simply come prepared and you'll start to enjoy it eventually

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Early Lost Society, Power Trip, Municipal Waste, Havok, and many more

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

A fan asked our drummer to take a photo of him and the vocalist without realizing the drummer was also in the band

13. What do you think of your fans?

The greatest people ever (when they buy our merch :D )

14. What do you think of our site?

Easy to navigate and a lot of info to dig into!

15. Something to add?

Support your local scene, drink beer, and listen to good music.
