Thrash metal masters Oozing Wound, who hail from Chicago, IL, have released their sophomore album Whatever Forever today via Thrill Jockey.  The band spent four days getting a studio tan at Minbal Studios in Chicago with recording engineer Matt Russell, which is four times as long as it took the band to record its 2013 debut Retrash. Russell mixed the album and it was mastered by Heba Kadry at Timeless Mastering.  The resulting ten songs that comprise Whatever Forever incorporate “…bits of noise rock and black, sludge, and prog metal into the mix … but one thing Whatever Foreverdoes do consistently is melt your face off which, in the end, is probably a good thing for the earth” (All Music).
