Interviews: Concealed Reality

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Deathcore/Metalcore band Concealed Reality, from Belgium. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

James: From watching documentaries about pyramids, Dictator, hidden things from the states with a lot of weed. Naaaa I don’t really remember. Was something like I said before but was the former guitarist who found the name. 

2. Why did you want to play this genre? 

Cause it’s not easy to play it force you to move your ass off and keep working to always be better. Metalcore or any way you want to call our music style is a new generation of metal that’s keep evolving everyday 

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

James: The new members didn’t know each other before being in the band and I only know the new guitarist from school when I was younger. But for the previous original members they was close friends in the same band since 4-5years than I came on my unicorn when they need a singer 3 years ago 

4. Each band member favourite band? 

James: Youth Forever alias Villains, Northlane, Letlive, Reflections , and too many to put in one sentence. Zakk - August Burns Red, While She Sleeps 

Fred: August Burns Red, whitechapel, wage war, volumes,.... But 2 weeks ago I saw this band 'Loathe' that we're realy good and had this 'dark' vibe around them. I'm listening to their EP all the time . 

Jonathan: Thy Art Is Murder, Whitechapel, After The Burial, Volumes, August Burns Red, Suicide Silence, Monuments, Periphery, The Ghost Inside, Lamb Of God... 

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs? 

James: emotions, questions about my or our existences in the world. My hate and hanger since I’m 5 years old. 

Zakk: The feeling to be lost in the deep space! Each time that I listen to a good song, this feeling surrounding me. 

Fred: Our fans that like our music and keep motivating us. The feeling we get of sharing our music live with people that love it, well that feeling is more worth than gold. 

Jonnathan: Listen to good songs where the drums are like "whaw" and my inspirations are Chris Adler, Lee Stanton and Thomas Haake 

6. Where was your last gig? 

At "La Zone" in Liege opening for Landscapes. 

7. Where would you like to act? 

James: All the band wish to do the Vans Wrapped tour, but we want to do also tour everywhere in the world. In fact even if it’s a little bar in the michigan this will be awesome for us. But definitely The vans Waperd tour Damn it. 

Jonathan: Graspop Metal Meeting, Wacken, TRIX Antwerp, AB Brussels, Fortarock, Groesrock, Durbuyrock,... 

8. Whom would you like to feature with? 

Fred: Freddy Mercury 

Zakk: Lawrence Taylor, Sam Carter 

James: Tyler The creator this should be dope. 

Jonathan: Whitechapel 

9. Whom not? 

James: Yeah 50cent 

Fred: Adele, get her the fuck out! 

Zakk: Oliver Sykes 

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that? 

James: Yup! one time had to do replacement as singer for an other band just got one week to get ready so yarrrh lot of pressure. But as always you just Jump inside the show and do ya best. Fred- Wear Nike shoes and Just Do It !!!! 

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

Zakk/ James: Northlane, Architects, Change of Loyalty, DVSR (devastator), Youth Forever, Thy art is murder Sworn In. Fred - I think Parkway Drive inspired me the most when I was younger. When they bring out their DVD, it inspired me so much that I played the whole night on my bass. Best DVD and definitely the most inspiring!! 

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

James: A girl Want to kiss , yeah man that was awkward. 

Fred: (Previous band) girl came to me after the show to ask if I tried to slam my bass on her head on purpose. When I said no she just ran away to a friend of hers, who than asked me to sleep over at their place. Realy weird, maybe I've should've said no... 

13. What do you think of your fans? 

They are like our fifth member, They're really great to have! They support us, keep motivating us and they'll always come to our show to enjoy our music and to mosh the whole show. They also support our singer when he got health issues and this is the best we can remember. 

14. What do you think of our site? 

I discovered it when you share our clip - thanks again for that - but it looks really cool ! The design is cool.
