News: EDENSONG Releases "Down The Hours" Live Video From Terra Incognita Festival

New York City progressive outfit EDENSONG has issued a new live video of their epic "Down The Hours," which was filmed at the band's performance at Terra Incognita Festival in Quebec earlier this year.

Issues guitarist/vocalist James Schoen, "It was an honor to get the chance to return to Terra Incognita for EDENSONG's second performance at the festival. The audience in Quebec is so incredible and 'Down The Hours' was one of our favorite moments from the show. Quebec is also home to Godin Guitars who make the amazing xtSA that I use live and which enables me to quickly shift between (and combine) acoustic and electric guitar sounds. These guitars, along with our Hearback PRO monitoring rig from Hear Technologies, really help us bring this music to the stage and recreate Years In The Garden Of Years faithfully in concert."

EDENSONG's Years In The Garden Of Years was released in September 2016, the band's first for Laser's Edge. The record features over seventy minutes of music, mastered with audiophile precision by Grammy winning engineer Bob Katz, stunning original illustrations from beloved surrealist painter Dan May, and the track "The Atman Apocalypse" featuring a guest appearance by Adrian Belew (King Crimson, Frank Zappa, David Bowie, Talking Heads, etc.). The album has been called, "intelligent, clever, exciting, and technically excellent new music," by Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull.

Prog Archives' 5/5 review boasts, "The best part about this album, as well as others that meet the masterpiece definition, is that each listen brings new discoveries and that it never gets old and like fine wine actually improves with age. It is the finest vintage of the music I love." Sea Of Tranquility's 4.5/5 offers in part, "Years In The Garden Of Years from EDENSONG is simply too good to let it pass you by and unusually, proggers old and new will find equal amounts to delight in," and Progressive Music Planet hails, "Years In The Garden Of Years has a timeless sound that could have been released in the '70s or really any decade for that matter. That's a testament to this very talented band." Metal Underground posted a 4.5/5 review which includes, "Rejoice prog fans: the album you have been waiting for is now here! Organs, flutes, string instruments, heavy guitars, smooth clean singing, and more all collide on the massively eclectic Years In The Gardens Of Years from New York outfit EDENSONG. You'll never know what to expect from these 10 tracks..."
