Behind The Artwork: Morvigor - Tyrant (2017)

As our album cover, we chose a painting by a relative of one of the band members. He painted it a few years ago and gave it as a present.

The chaotic, grotesque feel of the painting is something we can relate to the eclectic music played on Tyrant. The image isn't easily processed and should be seen a few times before one can comprehend just a little bit. The same thing goes with Tyrant. At first one can think of it is a random mix-up of genres and riffs, but after a few spins the deeper compositional ideas (hopefully) become clear.

The exact interpretation of the painting is left to the listener. We could point out every single detail which relates to the concept of Tyrant, but it's our intention to give the listener something to think about too!
