News: BOY JUMPS SHIP Release Christmas Charity Single "All Alone On Christmas"

North East punks BOY JUMPS SHIP are getting into the festive spirit today, releasing a cover of Darlene Love's Christmas classic All Alone On Christmas. The track is available to download/steam here, and proceeds will go towards mental health charity MIND.

The original song, released in 1992, features on the soundtrack of Home Alone 2: Lost In New York, and the accompanying video sees BOY JUMPS SHIP pay homage to the classic film.

"The whole idea of this project was just to have a bit of fun with some music and film that we love and join the two to hopefully create a great end product that ultimately makes people, laugh and nod along, whilst raising some money for the MIND charity.

The idea for the video stems from a couple of years ago when we went to a halloween party as the cast of Home Alone and all of our friends told us how much we looked like them. We just thought ‘Let's take this to the next level and cover the song with an awesome video’. We are also huge believers in supporting mental health and would love to do our bit to raise awareness of the issue, especially around a time of year when people can feel very lonely

BOY JUMPS SHIP recently released new single WORKING FOR THE WEEKEND, which was added into rotation on the Kerrang! Radio playlist and saw support from BBC Introducing. Further new music will be released soon.

They'll be wrapping up 2017 with a headline show in Newcastle on 17th December in remembrance of Chloe Rutherford and Liam Curry, two fans who were victims in the Manchester Arena attack earlier this year. All proceeds will be donated to The Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust
