Behind The Artwork: Phendrana - Sanctum Sic Transit Gloria Mundi (2018)

The cover artwork is a painting called “Vanitas symbols in a landscape” (1658) by the Dutch painter Matthias Withoos. I chose this painting because it matches perfectly with the concept of the album, for example, many elements in the painting, such as the vanitas, make reference to the life & death, and others, such as the apparently abandoned place in the upper right part, can be related to the third track, Ethereum.
