Interviews: 2far2jump

In this new occasion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Pop Punk  band 2far2jump from UK. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Rupert: The band name comes from that feeling you get when your ambitions appear to be out of reach. Like, you can see where you want to go but it seems an impossible reach to achieve. But you go for it anyway because it's what you want to do. - Rupert

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Rupert: This genre is the music we love and youve got to love what you play

Alistair: Most of us grew up listening to bands like green day, linken park and blink, so it's inspired us a lot along with what we listen to now. I actually like a lot of pop artists too.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Rupert: I knew Aaron. We found Alistair at the beginning.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Rupert - The Hunna
Aaron - All Time Low
Alistair - Hard to pick just one but I've been listening to The 1975 and Pale Waves a lot recently.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Rupert: I write guitar parts that feel good and Alistair writes from experiences – the two things come together and a new song idea is born. We practice it with Aaron, he has input, we’ll makes some changes, practice it and see if it works. Then well make a good rough version and practice that and if its still working well ultimately record it.

6. Where was your last gig?

Rupert: The Joiners in Southampton. It was one of our best shows.

7. Where would you like to act?

Rupert: Brixton Academy.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Rupert: The Hunna, All Time Low, The 1975.

9. Whom not?

Rupert: It needs to be a band that attracts a similar audience to us so we probably wouldnt play with another band that is very different.

Alistair: There's not anyone that comes to mind who I wouldn't want to work with, I love diversity and working with other artists. As long as it's good vibes.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Rupert: I think we’re all pretty happy playing on stage. But thats not to say its not a bit scary sometimes but our advice would be: focus on the music and what youre doing and not on how many people are watching. Also, once you get into the set, it gets easier, especially if its going well. Then you don want it to end!

Alistair: I usually feel some kind of nerves, but it's good nerves. The more you do it the better it gets I believe. You have to channel it into excitement.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Rupert: All Time Low, We Are The In Crowd, Sleeping With Sirens, The Hunna, The 1975, Neck Deep.

Alistair: All of the above and so many more, I draw inspiration from so many great artists in different genres.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Rupert: You wont be able to print that!

Alistair: Someone asked me to draw a penis on their face outside the kerrang awards once.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Rupert: We love our fans! And really there is nothing better than making our fans happy at shows by playing the best we can.

Alistair: Yeah, we love the bond we have with our fans and really appreciate the support, even if it's their first time hearing of us but decided to check us out. It's great some people feel a strong connection to us and our music. It makes us happy too. - Alistair

14. What do you think of our site?

Rupert: I like the way you can search by Core and Not Core and how the different categories are listed within each. It also looks good and works well.
