Interviews: NoDrop ForUs

In this new occasion we have had the opportunity to interview the Metalcore/Hardcore band NoDrop ForUs from Spain. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The name "No Drop For Us" arises from an inestable stage in the band, the difficulties we had but never made us give up was the reasons to choose this name.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

we grew up with this kind of music and we love to play it. In our opinion it is a music that can transmit more feelings than other styles that we like too.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, Agus, Pablo, Martin and Alberto are friends since childhood and we have stayed together since then. We have known Fer for several years, we played with his old band long time ago and we have keep the contact until he joined us

4. Each band member favourite band?

Martin: While She Sleeps, The Ghost Inside, Enter Shikari, Funeral For a Friend.

Andújar: Enter Shikari, Anathema, Red Hot Chili Peppers, While She Sleeps, The Ghost Inside.

Pablo: Funeral For a Friend, Alexisonfire, Vanna o A Day To Remember.

Agus: Architects, All shall perish, As blood runs black, The Amity Affliction, While She Sleeps, The Ghost Inside, A day to remember.

Fer: Norma Jean, Killswitch Engage, While She Sleeps, Architects.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Listening to music is what helps us to compose. In the end the musician are the ones who consume the most music of other bands and other styles. This gives you ideas even without realizing it, when you take the guitar, you usually do transitions or chord movements that sound good because they are movements that you have heard in other songs that you liked it.

As for the lyrics, it is usually the singer (Pablo) who performs them, although the other members of the band always contribute ideas. The lyrics usually change depending on the EP. This last work, called otherside, talks about the different points of view that a person has in a society that he doesn't like.

6. Where was your last gig?

The last show was the last weekend in our city featuring our last EP 'otherside'. It was amazing enjoy with our friends this show.

7. Where would you like to act?

All bands dream of playing at great festivals, in our country we have good festivals like Donwload Festival or Resurection Fest where we would love to play. But we can't deny that we love to play in our city and feel the warmth of our people.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

There are many bands we would like to play with, for example our favorites bands that we mention before that have influenced us as a band

9. Whom not?

We are willing to play with any band but we imagine that the limit is in bands that have a greatly differ from our style

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

In the beginning we have more stage fright but we think it is because of the personal insecurity of each one, not knowing if you are going to do it well in front of so many people. But there comes a time when you feel safe with your songs and the feeling of stage fright disappears. This doesn't mean that you don't get nervous before going on stage, it still gives respect but it is different.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We live the Metalcore of early 2000. Bands like Trivium, Killswitch Engage, All Thats Remains, Bullet For My Valentine or As I Lay Dying are direct influences to the No Drop For Us style. Over the years we have found other influences such as While She Sleeps or The Ghost Inside, but we are five persons and although we have very close influences, we each have our small variations that make the mix of them No Drop For Us.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We do not remember anything out of the ordinary. They have never told us or done us anything weird.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Awesome people! They show their support and that means a lot to us. Without them we are nothing. To the ones that go out of their way to listen to our music and see us live we just want to say thank you. We owe you everything.

14. What do you think of our site?

It's a pleasure to have sites like this where emerging bands are so supported like a mainstream band. Sites like Breathing The Core are who keep this music alive. Thank you so much for your help.
