Interviews: All Seeing Eye

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Technical Death Metal/Djent band All Seeing Eye from India. Check out the interview and this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Idea of the band name originated from our song which was entitled as All Seeing Eye, where we sat down at a nearby bar to confirm this. Of course, we felt connected through the name as soon as it was put out and now after 2 years of our journey it has become a much stronger and deeper feel to us.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

The type of genre we play is totally different from the other new age bands today. All of us have a progression in our own field and as a result we call it as the ASE genre also called by metal injection Schizo-jazzy Tech-Death. But we never planned to make it sound the way it sounds it was all very natural to us since we were looking for a sound which defined our feel.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, we all know each other before we got together as a working unit. Our past experiences in each of our ex-band helped us. But waiting for the right person tricked us a lot in our journey, since we waited almost a year to find a bassist suitable for us.

4. Each band member favorite band?

It's truly hard to center one band but here goes...

Navneeth - Vocals - Necrophaggist
Nick - Guitars - After the Burial
Sooraj - Guitars - Meshuggah
Rambo - Bass - SikTh
Sange - Drums/Percussion – Infant Annihilator

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We get inspired by great musicians from different fields of genre from a lot of jazz to math rock to funk and fusion to a lot of prog rock to all the sub genres of metal as we move ahead in life catering what is needed to move forward and sound original. Also the most important part where we learn from each other and put that into a division of perspectives to find results. And as per the feel we put out is complete awareness of the reality we live in and beyond.

6. Where was your last gig?

We haven't played a gig as a band yet since we were more focused on writing and production, but since now we are settled with everything we will be touring soon, as we will be also release our album by mid of this year.

7. Where would you like to act?

For us big or small venues don’t matter at all we just want a crowd which can understand the feel we are trying to portray, a room filled with people moshing and headbanging...we're totally in for that shit!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Would be great to feature with the likes of the bands listed above.

9. Whom not?

Mumble rappers

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

The more you get confident about what you are playing on stage, will make you more confident about the way you see the crowd from the stage.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

That is a very tough question! Well we have different tastes so we can't really fixate on one band...Too many bands from too many genres!!

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Trying to cross breed his dog with mine....it was very unconventional! (Feeling’s mutual though)

13. What do you think of your fans?

Fans are like result to our hard work. Because of them we motivate each other to keep progressing in a beautifully brutal way for their horns to always raise for us.

14. What do you think of our site?

BRUTAL AF!!! Keep up the work.
