Interviews: Mindcollision
In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Nu-Metal/Rapcore/Djent band Mindcollision from Switzerland. Check out the interview and this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
We named us after a song we created... called mindcollision
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
We play what we listen to, and we try to merge all genres we love, like rap, djent, metal etc...
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Mitch, André and Patrick know each other since childhood and are the founding members of Mindcollision. Will started as a Rowdy and played some shows with them back in 2012 before becoming a fully member. Freddy K joined in 2015 after playing as aftershow DJ at some Mindcollision shows.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Will (bass): architects
Mitch (Vocals): Incubus
Patrick (drums): Deftones
André (Guitars): Limp Bizkit
Freddy K (DJ): NWA
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Situations from our daily life or political stuff for example. We try to create new sounds never heard before....
6. Where was your last gig?
Madhouse Festival in Castrop Rauxel Germany
7. Where would you like to act?
Festivals, like the Hellfest, with full force or Rock am Ring would be awesome
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Zack from RATM, Frankie from Emmure, just to name two.
9. Whom not?
Right wing bands, racist groups.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Just concentrate on what you love. Playing music, spreading the word and having a good time with some lads.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Deftones, Rage against the machine, Incubus, Hed PE, Limp Bizkit
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
There are no weird things... maybe because we are weird and crazy as well.
13. What do you think of your fans?
We love to party with these guys! They are crazy as we are!
14. What do you think of our site?
We really love your great work for artists, keep going supporting bands all around the world.... thanks for that
