Behind The Artwork: North Of South - New Latitudes (2018)

From the very first moment, I wanted a predominantly white cover with some elegant motif.

As a global concept, “North of South” has a remarked spirit and philosophy of following its own path and avoiding some hackneyed Metal topics, like Satan, blood, death, evil and other supposedly “scary stuff”...

It’s ok and great and fun for some other bands, but it doesn’t connect with North of South artistic concerns.

So the planetary background, the astronaut figure and the cloudy and enigmatic landscape symbolizes the exploring vocation of North of South as a band, always searching for new musical territories.

While others prefer to stay and take roots  in the tradition, I prefer to move on looking for new and exciting latitudes.

It’s an artistic approach, an inner journey and also a way of life.
