Interviews: RAVENFACE
In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Metalcore band RAVENFACE from UK. Check out the interview and this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1.Where
did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out
just like that?
It
was brought to light via the Native American Indian character
‘Raven-Face’ from Girouard,
J., 1996. MYTHS AND TRADITIONS OF THE CROW INDIANS.
2.Why
did you want to play this genre?
We
didn’t pick a genre to play. We came together collaboratively and
our fans and audience deemed what genre was appropriate for us. Often
bands will almost never work in the sense of longevity if they have
formulated plans on what they want to sound like.
3.
Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Only
through passing. James and Jack are original members but Leah,
Cameron and Adam we recruited to join the band through mutual friends
as well as gigging together over the last few years.
4.
Each band member favourite band?
James:
No particular band, I mainly love scores from games
Leah:
Devin Townsend
Cameron:
The Night Game
Adam:
Reuben
Jack:
Michael Bolton
5.
Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Everything,
the world around us, relationships, happiness and heartache.
Everything is inspiring.
6.
Where was your last gig?
Prog
metal madness @ New Cross in London!
7.
Whom would you like to feature with?
“If
we were to do a feature with someone, I’d like it to be with
someone who comes from a completely different genre, this would give
a great opportunity for us to write something a bit different for
someone we admire. I personally like someone like childish gambino or
heather from pale waves, think they would sound really cool on one of
our tracks
8.
Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners
on how to beat that?
Not
particularly. Ultimately, the best way to build confidence is to
realise that if you put your all into something, someone somewhere
will appreciate it; even if the people around you don’t.
9.
What bands have inspired you the most?
All
bands / artists who show passion and aplomb in their creativity
inspire us.
10.
What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
11.
What do you think of your fans?
We
are aware this will sound like a stock answer. But they are the
greatest humans in the world. Their patience and kindness is never
un-noticed from all of us. Thank you! x
12.
What do you think of our site?
We
think it is a website that is nice, with a wealth of lovely
information about the lovely people.
13.
Something add?
Yes.
Thank you for your enduring patience waiting for this album to
materialise. I'm happy to finally be able to have a date to mark on
the calendar, that being November 30th, and I hope it both meets and
exceeds everyone's expectations.
