Interviews: Veil Of Conspiracy

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Progressive Metal band Veil Of Conspiracy from Italy. Check out the interview and this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Luca: Veil of Conspiracy is a name who came out spontaneously because we think that it perfectly match our music.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Luca: We have always been very keen on this genre.. constantly searching for the right and darkest sound to express ourselves and try to give images in the listener’s head.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Luca: I met Chris 3 years ago but I knew him as a guitarist and I really didn’t expect he had been such a great singer. I knew Davide before Veil of Conspiracy too because I share the stage with his band before. I know Emanuela from more than 10 years, we played in different local bands.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Emanuela: We are fans of bands like Opeth, Katatonia, Soen, Nevermore, Tool, Alluvial, Obscura, Evergrey and more.. we love to listen to good music.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Emanuela: We get inspiration from the darkest side of existence, from what generates sorrow and disturbs human mind, and we give it a shape through our music.

6. Where was your last gig?

Luca: We’ll start a tour to support “Me, Us and Them” soon. The first gig will be in Rome on April 24th.

7. Where would you like to act?

Luca: We would love to play our music as many places as possible, festival and more. We really hope to have the chance to spread our music around the world.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Emanuela: We really like to share the stage with Soen, Katatonia, Opeth, Feared and many other acts.

9. Whom not?

Emanuela: We think music is a deep moment of sharing, and every act could be interesting to play with, so we don’t set limits.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Luca: No, we really enjoy what we do and being on stage, and we practice our instruments a lot. So the only tip for the beginners is to have fun and practice.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Luca: As we said, Nevermore, Katatonia, Opeth, Soen, Alluvial, Obscura and more.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Emanuela: No, nothing very weird.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Emanuela: Fans are very important, because if we were not aware of what they think of our music and if they like it or not, we would not go anywhere. Their support is fundamental.

14. What do you think of our site?

Luca: Very cool site where find interviews, reviews and support to emerging bands all around the world. Keep up the good work, guys!
