Interviews: Trident Waters

In this new occassion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band Trident Waters from the UK. Check out the interview and follow the band on their  FACEBOOK PAGE. 

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

AK: It came from the fact we are a Blues Rock trio. The whole thing kinda made sense and no one else has a name like us.

2.Why did you want to play this genre? 

AK: Because it’s the music we all grow up with and love. You can’t beat the sound of rock n roll y’know? 

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

AK: No not really it was friends of friends and coming together through the music. AK

GZ: I have seen the guys play at the big red and was blown Away and here i am part of the family. 

4. Each band member favourite band? 

WZ: Difficult to say a favourite one… All the giants of Rock n` Roll! Led Zeppelin, KISS, Deep Purple, Guns n’ Roses to name a few.  

AK: Led Zeppelin all day long! 

GZ: Opeth, led zeppelin, deep purple, symphony x.GZ

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs? 

AK: I mostly write the lyrics and come up with the concept then we work out the sound and arrangement in rehearsal. Inspiration comes from all kinds of places. Its hard to pinpoint that one. 

6. Where was your last gig?

WZ: I think it was at the Rock Den! Such an amazing place and amazing crowd! It’s the real thing in there! A venue where people go to appreciate live music and that’s it! 

7. Where would you like to play? 

GZ: Anywhere and everywhere. GZ

AK: Wembley Stadium would be the ultimate venue I think. 

8. Who would you like to support? 

AK: Would love to play with Rival Sons or Joe Bonamassa.

9. Who not? 

WZ: We would support anyone man… We live our music and have full respect for other bands who are out there trying to do the same! And that’s how we keep Rock n’ Roll alive.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that? 

WZ: Not stage fright but I have experienced strong anxiety attacks. For beginners out there just make sure you build up your self-confidence by nailing your songs with the band and remember to enjoy yourself! Have fun!

GZ: No stage fright just anxiousness to get on stage and play. Just believe in yourself. As the old saying goes practice makes perfect. 

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

AK: Zeppelin, AC/DC, GnR, probably Clapton and Buddy Guy too. 

GZ: From a drummers point of you has to be led zeppelin because of bonham

and how he revolutionised drumming.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

AK: In honesty we’re still waiting for the weird requests to filter in. Hopefully that’ll be any day now! 

13. What do you think of your fans? 

AK: We appreciate everyone who gets behind the band. It’s a great feeling when people come over after the gig and they tell you how much they enjoyed it. AK

14. What do you think of our site?

AK: I think it’s a great place to check out bands and see what’s happening on the scene.
