Intervuews: Floorboards

In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Pop Punk/Melodic Hardcore band Floorboards from the UK. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It’s a song by a band called Real Friends.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We’re not good enough to play metal

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Not properly, no. We’re all mates now though to be fair.

4. Each band member favorite band?

Jay - Abba

Jamie - Anthrax

Marcus - G4 Tom

Harrison - Ed Sheeran

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Our music is generally about losing your head. So a lot of the inspiration comes from that, as well as being members of our local music scene. So watching other bands a lot generally makes us all want to write more music.

6. Where was your last gig?

The Cobblestones - Bridgwater, the UK with Veridian

7. Where would you like to play?

Glasto would be great to play. Also, maybe something like the Eiffel tower? That would be cool. Also, we’d love to play the Frog and Fiddle in Cheltenham UK because we have only ever heard really good things about the place.

8. Who would you like to support?

Title Fight, please.

9. Who not?

Moose Blood. Got to be honest.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Marcus says he has. Not with this band but he has in the past. He says having some sweet gold nectar before slamming a wicked slap bass solo usually comforts him to the necessary levels of rock. Also, make sure you arrive at the venue early and walk around it a lot so that you can figure out how much you matter based on the size of the venue. Don’t ruin it by being nervous and standing still because everyone notices that way more.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

A place in my band (Marcus) hahaha

13. What do you think of your fans?

Seeing people sing your lyrics is really great because I worry I’m going to run out of breath so they just fill in for me. Also, it's the best thing I’ve ever felt. So yeah I proper love them, fair play.

14. What do you think of our site?

It’s bloody brilliant, who did that then?
