Interviews: Breaking Solace

In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Hard Rock/Rock band Breaking Solace from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The music Dan was writing at the time was about fighting for a better tomorrow and Dan wanted the name to emulate the music. In other words, Breaking Solace means breaking out of your comfort zone. Live life, get crazy, find your potential, go nuts, takes chances, and have fun, cuz that’s what we do!

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

It's fun as shit and energetic! You don’t grow up watching les claypool, mick Mars, Corey Taylor, and Dave Grohl and NOT wanna play rock and roll! 

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Danny B: Absolutely not. ‘I started this band with the goal of having fun, play rock music, and inspire people to live. I wanted people to stop their 9-5 mentality and live! So I went and found the funnest, most rock and roll an inspirational band of misfits that I could find and put them together, and here we are.’ 

4. Each band member favorite band?

Danny B - Slipknot

Outlaw - Iron Maiden

Rik - The Dead Kennedy’s

Dakota - Bullet for my Valentine

Canada - Led Zeppelin 

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Life. The shit that goes on around you and the world you live in, it’s all an ever changing story and writing about how the world is through my eyes is what inspires me. And potatoes chips.

6. Where was your last gig?

Mesa Theater, Grand Junction, CO

7. Where would you like to act? 

Wembley Stadium, Rock Am Ring, The Discovery Channel, PBS, CBC.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Motlëy Crüe

9. Whom not?

Anybody that doesn’t like partying and rock and roll.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Absolutely! Just do it. Trust the music and trust your self. Trust your bandmates. Sometimes you just gotta enjoy the music to overcome your fear.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Every band we’ve ever played with!

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Rik got asked for his dirty underwear once...too bad he doesn’t wear any...for real...

13. What do you think of your fans? 

There’s a reason why we call it the Breaking Solace family. The love and support that we get from them are unreal and we couldn’t dream in a million years of having a better family.

14. What do you think of our site?

Fun, hip, and cool.
