Interviews: Unveil The Strength

In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Hard Rock/Rock band Unveil The Strength from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Unveil the Strength is the mantra of Mark Wolfe’s entire life. It is quite an epic journey and the driving force behind the band. Mark has seen first hand the horrors of war. He was homeless and suffered not only physical injury but PTSD. He has literally risen from the ashes. It is within all of us to find and reveal our inner strength.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Metal is really something that chooses you. I don't think you wake up one day and say hey let's get into this! I think it’s in your DNA.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I have known Mark Wolfe for several years. We have discussed working on music together and our schedules finally matched up. I flew out to Austin Texas to work on our EP at Marks studio. While we were working there we recruited Tim Hassemer on drums and soon thereafter Matt Guillory came on board on keys/synth. Matt G. was speaking with Andy James about the band and he was really into it.

4. Each band member favorite band?

No favorites!! There is just too much amazing music out there to pick a favorite! 

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Daily life really. It’s the day to day interactions and experiences that shape who you are. This is how we end up steering the ship to a degree.

6. Where was your last gig?

Vegas baby!!!

7. Where would you like to act?

Movies would be fun. My family was in the movie industry for many years in Los Angeles. Tv would be ok, but movies I think would be my first choice if I was to get one!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Jeff Bridges!!! The Dude!!!

9. Whom not?

Can't think of anyone I wouldn't want to. I mean, I don't know them so any preconceived notions would be misplaced. 10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that? -Never. I was taught early... Prepare. If you are prepared, you are ready. Simple.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Metal wise, It would be bands I have toured with mostly. Slipknot, Korn, Disturbed, Godsmack, Lamb of God… so many LOL… seeing how these bands functioned and performed was amazing. 12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? I think I'm weirder so nothing I was asked for was weird. People will amaze you!!

13. What do you think of your fans?

I don't really see people as “my fans” … we come together for the love of music and the excitement of the show. Without the other, you aren't complete. It’s a unique exchange

14. What do you think of our site?

I really enjoy sites like these. I loved reading interviews in magazines back in the day. Now we get to do it more often!!
