Interviews: Zepher

In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band Zepher from the UK. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Not many bands pick a name that starts with Z and Zepher stood out. But we just needed a name to put the music to and start playing live really.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We just write what we write and it ended up being Rock. It's down to what you listen to but we do have a wide range of influences so I think the music has a decent scope outside of the generic rock parameters.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Myself (Louis) and Toby are brothers so we go way back. Shan joined about four or five years ago and Conor's the new boy but he's firmly in the gang now!

4. Each band member favourite band?

I'd probably go with The Stones, Toby says Motley Crue, Conor is the KOL and Shans favourite band is Green Day.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Playing live inspires and the fact that we feel we have something different to bring to the music scene. We're not hearing a lot of what we like out there atm so we're doing it ourselves.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was in our beautiful motherland of Swansea at a banging little venue called Hanger 18 for fringe fest 2019.

7. Where would you like to act?

Dunno what that question means? If you're asking where would we like to play then anywhere that'll have us.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Oasis when they sort out their shite! (come on lads). Or BMTH, they're doing some interesting stuff atm.

9. Whom not?

Some god awful band (and there's plenty of them out there) like blossoms or foals or something.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Not to my knowledge, we love playing shows. My advice is if something scares you that much then it's probably not for you to be brutally honest.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We get inspired by lots of different bands. Groups like the Pistols or Oasis. You know proper bands with something relevant to say and proper songs. The real deal!

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nothing bizarre really, we don't have weirdos at our gigs..but never say never. 

13. What do you think of your fans?

They've got great taste in music! Love ‘em all!
