Interviews: Little Triggers

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the  Rock band, Little Triggers, from the UK. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We were searching for a cool name by rifling through some old vinyl. Tom came across the This Year's Model album by Elvis Costello and there on the sleeve was Little Triggers. No other active bands were using the name so we thought, that'll do!

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

It's what we've always wanted to play and have played since we were kids. We aren't buttonholed by any sub-genres, we are a Rock n Roll band, simple as that.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Tom was asked to guest on guitar for another band and Jay was the drummer. Tom promptly stole him for Little Triggers.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Tom - The Beatles

Jay - Nirvana 

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

"Life, the universe and everything". Mainly emotions that Tom has experienced at one time or another and just translating those into sound.

6. Where was your last gig?

A cool little venue in Chelmsford called Hot Box.

7. Where would you like to play?

The Marquee if it still existed.

8. Who would you like to support?

Rival Sons or The Hives.

9. Who not?

Abba, no actually they had some good tunes! Little Mix?

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

No, not really, When Tom was in a teenage band the bass player's Dad gave him a shot of Jack Daniels before he went on.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Apart from The Beatles and Nirvana probably Humble Pie, Led Zeppelin and AC/DC just for the hell of it.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Tom was asked for his hand in marriage by the mother of a fan when in the US. He was only 15 at the time!

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love them all, especially the girl from Japan who saved up and flew over to the UK just to follow us on tour.

14. What do you think of our site?

Cool, everyone should have it as a favourite.

15. Something to add?

Just hope everyone is OK during this crazy period and we cannot wait to play for an audience again.
