Interviews: The End Of Melancholy

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Alternative Metal/Goth Metal band, The End Of Melancholy, from Russia. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Olly: Before «TEOM» even met each other, the name came to me and it was like a sign. I immediately realized that this is the best name for my band! Cause it related with my inner world in some way. The end of Melancholy its like the ending of something and at the same time its the beginning of something new.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Olly: It’s just our favourite genre and we want to refresh it with our sound and style.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Olly: No, actually we met each other when I was looking for musicians to the band.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Olly: Marilyn Manson, NIN, Hole, Nirvana, In this Moment.

Andrew: Lacuna Coil, Joy division.

Roman: Avatar 

Eugene: Lacuna Coil, Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Olly: Life. Definetaly. Any important experience I had.

6. Where was your last gig?

Olly: It was in Estonia. Great, hot and crazy gig.

7. Where would you like to act?

Olly: Everywhere. Especially now lol. I mean where people love metal music, ofcourse! 8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Olly: In this Moment.

9. Whom not?

Olly: any shitty musician lol

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Olly: I got different experiences on stage so far. Just be yourself, ruin all fears by pure desire to be on stage and share your energy with people. And have fun!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Olly: Now it left only 3 bands I think: At this moment, Marilyn Manson and Motionless in white. The rest of my favourite bands retired I guess

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Olly: Nothing weird for now

13. What do you think of your fans?

Olly: I love them so very much. It’s a precious connection for me. It’s unique with every person and it’s very important for me. I can’t thank them enough.
