Interviews: Hostia

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Grindcore band, Hostia, from Poland. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

St.Anacletus: Everything comes from god right?

2. Why did you want to play this genre? 

St.Anacletus: It is what is in me, what feels natural. No matter how simple it may sound – this is what fits me best and what I always wanted to play. And at the end of the day – it’s all about the excitement, honesty, and joy of playing. And that’s what brings me joy!

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

St.Anacletus: Yes we did – for a long time, so that was also one of the reasons to form Hostia. Cause we wanted to play with this certain bunch of friends.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

St.Anacletus: I may answer only for me, but it's hard for me to pick one. Cause it is not that simple. So let's say: Metallica, Paradise Lost, Slayer, Morbid Angel, Samael, Napalm Death, Vader, Megadeth, old Sepultura, and many more.  

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs? 

St.Anacletus: Catholic sect and cocksucking right fucked politicians…

6. Where was your last gig? 

St.Anacletus: Toruń - Poland

7. Where would you like to perform?

St.Anacletus: Wherever are people that want to hear us!

8. Whom would you like to perform with? 

St.Anacletus: Ow so many to mention! Napalm Death, Nails, Morbid Angel, Vltimas, Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, Korpse, Six Feet Under, Terrorizer, and many more.

9. Whom not? 

St.Anacletus: No religious moaning bands…

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

St.Anacletus: Not really. I was electrocuted by the microphone once… Not recommended.

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

St.Anacletus: Musically – those I already mentioned here.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

St.Anacletus: Sadly no weird stuff. 

13. What do you think of your fans? 

St.Anacletus: Honoured they find in our music sth for them, sth that moves them.

St.Anacletus: Welcome the host to your hearts and burn in hell with us! PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR LATEST BIO HOSTIA – death/grind band. The group was established in 2017. The first sold-out album titled "Hostia" was released in 2018 and incorporated 13 uncompromising tracks both musically and lyrically. The preservation of anonymity and the minimum dosage of information emphasizes that You need nothing more than the music itself. In 2020 Hostia released a second LP "Carnivore Carnival" via Deformeathing Production. Due to the album being very well received by the hosts and the vinyl edition selling out pretty fast Deformeathing re-released the first album "Hostia" in 2021 - this time also on vinyl. The band toured Poland as well as played at some festivals. 2022 brought the new EP "Resurrected Meat", more shows, and the full album “Nailed”!
