Interviews: ABIGAIL'S AFFAIR

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metalcore artist, ABIGAIL´S AFFAIR from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It actually has a story, we took the name from the Salem witch trails in 1692 and Abigail Williams who was a part of that, in a play of that same subject she had an affair, thats where we got the name from.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Personally (Jag) I started this band because this is the genre I’ve always been passionate about, ever since I first discovered it as a kid, and we all love everything about it, the passion and the intensity its just awesome

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

It's kind of a long story, I contacted our drummer years ago for another project, and we became best friends, we started the band and met the rest of the guys in the local scene, they were playing for different bands at the time but we all got along really well!

4. Each band member favourite band?

Jag - Asking Alexandria

Ian - Megadeth

Frank - Bullet For My Valentine

Luis - Bad Omens

Adan - Avenged Sevenfold

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Lyrically ourselves, we write what we feel or think and we express it through our songs, musically we have ‘’created’’ our own style inspired of course in our favourite bands and personal influences.

6. Where was your last gig?

Oh man, its sad to talk about gigs now a days haha, i think the last one was in El Paso opening for Scary Kids Scaring Kids and Secrets

7. Where would you like to act?

Everywhere we can! We just want to play some live music soon

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Anyone who shares our same vision and passion for making music, and from who we can learn something new

9. Whom not?

Honestly, we are open about this, but theres a lot of talking in the scene though. so anyone who has doubted us in the past.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Stage fright never, theres always this little tickle in the stomach before a show, but its just excitement haha And our advice would be to just focus on doing your thing and enjoying yourself on stage, if you are well prepared theres nothing to fear!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

All of our favourites, and theres a lot of bands we all feel inspired by, we just love listening to music all the time!

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We were playing a show and there was this girl with her boyfriend, asking Ian (our drummer) to sign her tits and sleep with her, and the boyfriend was the coolest guy ever he was almost like, sure go ahead!

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are awesome, the amount of support and love we’ve been getting lately is amazing, we love all of them.

14. What do you think of our site?

Its great! Keep doing what you are doing, and spreading the word about new music!
