Interviews: BIPOLAR ARCHITECTURE

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Post-Metal band, BIPOLAR ARCHITECTURE from Turkey. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The whole idea of the music and the lyrics based on this bipolar structure of men. So that’s why we came up with the name Bipolar Architecture.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We had a death metal band before and toured lots of European countries and played many festivals, but then we wanted to create something that has unique sound with blend of different genres, more atmospheric and more groovy. We wanted to reach the souls of people to share the feelings everyone has but does not talk about. For this, we needed to blend some genres which can apply our unique sound.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

As I mentioned, three of the members are from our former death metal band Heretic Soul. Our drummer Ata is our newest family member.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Sarp: Deafheaven

Ata: Architects

Enes: Caliban

Burak: Alcest

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Mostly the songs have aspects of criticism and philosophical thinking with some literature added. Coming from our observations and our general understanding of men and society, though it is more like in a state of individual journey.

6. Where was your last gig?

Thanks tho Corona, we haven’t played live yet but our first gig is set to take place on Istanbul on April, 2020 if possible. We’ll play with Harakiri For The Sky and Moribund Oblivion.

7. Where would you like to act?

We want to play in every possible place, can’t distinguish but we’ve played with our former band in almost whole Europe except Great Britain, so that might be interesting for us.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We would like two be featured with bands has unique sounds and we love such as Deafheaven, Lvndmrks, Architects, Brutus, Jinjer, Cultt of Luna and so on...

9. Whom not?

We would not distinguish metal bands accordingly with genres. We love metal all the way anyway.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Not yet but they should be true to theirselves and then there is nothing to fear and everything will find its place.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We could say we were inspired by new bands that blend genres like Post-Rock and Black Metal such as Deafheaven, Oathbreaker, Brutus... But we wanted to create something in this way but special to us. So we blend many genres like from Post Rock to Djent, from Metalcore to Blackgaze.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We haven’t faced any really weird situations I guess until now.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We are a new band but the feedbacks we get are amazing. They all feel the darkest notes we wrote and darkest places we go with our lyrics. To see that we could share our true feelings with our fans is amazing. Thanks to who give a listen to us and enjoy our emotions with us.

14. What do you think of our site?

Breathing The Core is a very good community for open-minded music and we love the designs! We have lots of roots from core music of course, so we’re always keeping up with you guys.

15. Something add?

Thank you for having an interview with us, cheers!
