Interviews Modern Mimes
On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Alternative Rock band, Modern Mimes from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
The band name came from a childhood memory of our singer Adi. One year for Halloween, she dressed up as a mime even though the most popular costumes that all the kids were wearing were Power Rangers.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
We honestly didn't really plan on playing any certain genre. We basically put together all of our influences and what you hear in our music is what came out.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Yes! Ernesto and Adi are married and have known each other for over fifteen years. Justin and Ernesto were in a band together back in 2010
4. Each band member's favourite band?
Ernesto: Sevendust
Adi: Incubus
Justin: Queen
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
We are inspired by many things ranging from feelings, personal experiences, the state of the world, anger, happiness, depression and so much more.
6. Where was your last gig?
Our last gig was in Alabama at the end of our last tour back in March before the pandemic.
7. Where would you like to act?
Everywhere and anywhere!
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Probably Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails and definitely the band Type O Negative.
9. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
We ALL get nervous and jittery before shows. If we had to give advice, we'd probably tell people to breathe and go on stage and let it rip.
10. What bands have inspired you the most?
Definitely Type O Negative, Sevendust, Nine Inch Nails, Incubus, Jewel, Portishead, Pantera.
11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
A ride home after a show.
12. What do you think of your fans?
Our fans are what keep us grinding and working hard. We love them so much.
13. What do you think of our site?
Great website!!! Keep up the good work. Its great to see people who care about the music.
