Band Biographies: Postcards From The Moon

From its roots as a solo acoustic artist known as Cool Guy Project from Somerset, Texas, to its current incarnation as a 4-piece pop-rock band, Postcards from the Moon encompasses a variety sounds that evoke reminiscence of adolescence and childhood memories. Featuring lyrics that mend the deepest cracks of a wounded heart, soaring violin melodies, electrifying guitar harmonies, and a driving energy behind it all that brings people together through music, Postcards from the Moon’s message has always been about finding the strength in times of hardship to go on and shoot for the moon.

Postcards cycled through a number of talented musicians before finally putting together its current line-up featuring vocalist Caleb Rangel, violinist/guitarist Rolando Ramon (Ro), guitarist Kyle Garcia, and drummer Joseph Colón (Joe) in 2017. Since then, the group has been steadily building a fan base across the U.S. with their spin on a nostalgic pop-rock sound.

During their current tenure, the band has collaborated and performed with a number of nationally renowned artists, such as Sleeping with Sirens, Waterparks, Falling in Reverse, Escape the Fate, The Word Alive, Johnny Craig, The Summer Set, Set It Off, and more. In September 2019, the band toured with Social Repose and Johnnie Guilbert through the Southeastern regions of the United States.

In December 2017, the quartet began working with RIAA Multi-Gold Producer, Kevin Gates of REACH Audio (NeverShoutNever, The Ready Set, Cady Groves, Plug In Stereo) on their first EP Me Without You, which was released in April 2019 to critical acclaim and features in publications, such as Alternative Press.

In November 2020, the band released their latest single “I Wasn’t Enough,” featuring solo artist and YouTube personality Johnnie Guilbert. It is the first single off a follow-up to 2019’s EP.
