Interviews: Arachnes

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Power Metal/Symphonic Metal band, Arachnes from Italy. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Enzo: In greek mytology, Arachne is the girl who challenger the goddess Athens in the art of weaving. We liked this myth, and hence the name of our band.

2.Why did you want to play this genre? 

Fank: I play this genre for that's the way to be, this is my lifestyle! For the same reason I wear these clothes or ride this bike, they express my personality and my cultural references

2. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

Fank: Well of course, Enzo is my brother ahaha! Corrado has been with us since we were 17 and from school friendships and Gabriele joined later

4. Each band member favorite band?

Enzo: Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Rainbow. It’s them, that’s the way it is for everyone. 

Fank: Rainbow, Van Halen, Y.J. Malmsteen for their incredible mix of blues and classic music!

5. Who or what inspires you to write song?

Enzo: Life is the real great source of inspiration. So everyday things, all experiences. Eros and Thanatos. That’s all it is.

6. Where was your last gig?

Fank) In this moment of health emergency it is not possible, but the last Live was in Milan

7. Where would you like to act?

Enzo: Personally, I would like a new Woodstock. But perhaps it can no longer exist.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Fank: I had the honor of having Mark Boals and Rob rock in my productions, and playing with Mike Portony for the new Vivaldi Metal project, as well as sharing the stage with Paul Gilbert, Andy Timmon and Marty Friedman in various editions of Italian Guitar day. I ask no more then!

9. Whom not?

Frank: With all the stupid people.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Enzo: No, we are too narcissistic! We must be daring. If you’re afraid, fuck it, and take a chance.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Enzo: The same ones we love. Frank and I listen to everything, classical music, jazz. Maybe Pink Floyd, yes

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

Fank: I think it was that of a fan who gave me her bra and asked me to on my guitar, and it was fun!

13. What do you think of your fans? 

Fank: I think they are musicians and not only, but certainly people who have an intelligent musical listening and great culture. Our Music and sound it’s not “easy listening” music, and those who approach our genre are looking for something articulated and well done. I receive many technical requests through our social channels, and they confirm this profile!

14. What do you think of our site?

Fank: It seems to me a very well done site is that it gives space to many bands and different musical genres, with a good level of detail, great job guys!

Enzo: Yes. Let’s do a new Woodstock!
