Interviews: My Beautiful Suicide

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Industrial Rock/Industrial Metal band, My Beautiful Suicide from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

My Beautiful Suicide sounds dark at first glance but it’s actually something positive; Shedding the negativity inside you, letting your old self die and emerging anew.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

To me industrial is the most creative genre and mixes many elements together; It can be haunting, beautiful, dark, violent, angry, etc.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I formed MBS and then Tommy Church offered to produce. I am the primary songwriter.

4. Each band member favourite band?

I would say Nine Inch Nails

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

My love and inspiration for 90’s industrial, early Marilyn Manson and NIN albums and videos. The creativity in them is something that isn’t really seen much anymore.

6. Where was your last gig?

It was with my other band Jeffrey Nothing, in San Antonio, Texas before the pandemic started.

7. Where would you like to act?

Would love to do a U.S. run, going to Europe would be pretty awesome, always wanted to go there.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Randy Blythe from Lamb of God, Andrew Schwab from Project 86, Head and Jonathan Davis from Korn, Trent Reznor

9. Whom not?

Cardi B

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

When I used to be in school talent shows I was terrified. One day it just went away. I would say just forget the audience is there. They are there to see a show, so just be yourself and give ‘em something to talk about.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson are the primary acts, but others include Tool, Project 86, 3 Teeth, Pantera, Lamb of God.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nothing comes to mind lol

13. What do you think of your fans?

It blows me away when people tell me that a song or a lyric I wrote spoke to them. I am grateful to any and all who have supported me.

14. What do you think of our site?

Pretty rad!

15. Something to add?

Stay in school
