Behind The Artworks: Ruled By Raptors - Silent Sound (2022)

1. Who designed the artwork?

Chris (vocalist) created the overall artwork design and look, although the photos used in it were taken by a local photographer and friend of the band, Craig Strawbridge.

2. What does the cover artwork represent?

We’d had something else made, but due to our own fault, the designer struggled to depict what we felt the term ‘Silent Sound’ meant. I’d seen Craig’s photo of his friend on the kayak in the sea and it just seemed to embody the feeling of emptiness and loss that the EP touches on. I added weather effects and used the mountains as a backdrop to try and hit on some of the ecological points made in the EP and adjusted colors to fit the mood.
