This is a new interview with the Symphonic Metal/Power Metal/Progressive Metal band StormbounD from Israel. Check out the interview and follow the artist on his FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

RS: The entire humanity is stormbound, in the sense that we are restricted to what nature allows us to do even though we believe it's up to us.

OF: I believe that at a certain point, the planet will have enough of us.

SF: I think the last pandemic was a little example of how vulnerable we are

YH: We need to change our ways in many fields.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

SF: Metal is more than just music to us, and I believe it's like that for almost all metalheads. Even though all of us listen to many other genres of music, metal is something special and different.

YP: Metal has a massive part of our social life, it's in the way we dress and so on. It also creates a connection between people even if they don't know each other.

OF: Most metalheads I know in my life are super cool and have a good personalities.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

SF: Ofer and I are a happily married couple:)

OF: Before we became a couple I gave Shani guitar lessons. After she became a much more impressive guitarist than me, we began teaching together. Also, This lovely singer right there (points at Yael) used to take voice lessons at my studio.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

OF: Classical music. other than that - Mago de Oz, In flames, Queen

SF: Arch Enemy, Animals as Leaders, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater

YH: Queen, Amy Lee, Lizzy Hale, Epica, Nightwish, whatever Floor Jansen does

YP: Meshuggah, Jinjer, Dream Theater, Laco Tyfa, Animals as Leaders

PK: Nightwish, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Al di meola, Dream theater, Sons of Apollo, Symphony X

RS: Dark Moor, Soilwork, Warman, Myrath, Diablo Swing Orchestra

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

YH: Our lives, basically.

OF: Personal experiences and social or global issues.

RS: For example, our title track December is about this evil demon that destroys everything we as a species created, especially western society. Apart from that, we have songs about romantic stuff and so on.

6. Where was your last gig?

YH: Barby Club Tel Aviv, Opening for Epica at their show. It's a dream that came true for me.

SF: one show before that was a fundraiser for Ukraine, which was a great thing to do.

7. Where would you like to perform?

PK: Wacken obviously

SH: Wembley stadium

OF: All major European festivals

RS: Coachella

YP: I'm good with what they said

YH: All over the world.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

PK: There are just too many.

SH: Arch Enemy, Dream theater

OF: Mago de Oz, Disturbed, Metallica

YP: Jinjer and Meshuggah

YH: Nightwish, Evanescence

RS: Dark Moore

9. Whom not?

OF: Unfortunately I've come across some bands that are on the racist side, so we won't play next to these assholes. Other than that we like festivals and sharing the stage and backstage with other bands from all genres. Normally there are some very awesome dudes and dudettes.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

YH: I remember my first time singing on a real stage, that was one serious stage fright.

SF: But I think we can all agree that if you work hard and trust your bandmates then there's nothing to worry about, especially after the first couple of times.

PK: Right now we're having a great time on stage.

OF: In my day job, I run a school of music. I handle beginners' stage fright almost on a daily basis. It's okay to feel a bit stressed, we talk about it and help utilize that minor anxiety into positive energy.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

OF: Classical music of all gives me a lot of compositional ideas. Lyric-wise it would either be a personal experience or a social issue that touches us.

SF: Arch Enemy, Animals as Leaders, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater

YH: Queen, Evanescence, Nightwish

YP: Meshuggah, Jinjer, Dream Theater, Laco Tyfa, Animals as Leaders

PK: Nightwish, Deep purple, Symphony X

RS: Myrath, Diablo Swing Orchestra

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

OF: I like it when they ask for guitar tabs.

SF: Being a woman, I get some inappropriate messages once in a while.

YH: Same here. The weirdest one was a person that made up this story that he was going to put on a tribute concert for the band "HIM", and he asked me to come over to his house so we can practice "Wicked Game" together.

13. What do you think of your fans?

YH: The stories! They are awesome.

RS: Great people with outstanding taste in music.

14. What do you think of our site?

OF: It's very cool, I've been following it for the last few months and you're doing a fantastic job. I admire people who support new artists and share music with the world.

15. Something to add?

SF: Hope you have a great weekend!

YP: Party hard guys

PK: Thank you for this interview, we'll share it with everyone in the local scene.
