Behind The Artworks: Through The Void - Life Is Cancelled (2022)

The artwork was made by Basilisk Studios. We see a figure standing in front of a window, from which a radiant light shines, like a fire. It represents, on one hand, the frustration we’ve had from not being able to play or to live at all during the global lockdowns, the one we felt from taking some steps back and reflecting on humanity’s endeavour to crash faster into the wall while the planet is burning and, on the other hand, the energy we found to move forward and keep our hopes up for a better future and for human beings to keep on being genuine and altruistic. You can see both the light of dusk or the light of dawn : are we about to go into a long, dark night or to start a bright, brand new day? To each their own answer.
