Interviews About Albums: Fitz Roy - Tenji (2022)

In this new interview, we sat down with the Ukraine Rock 'N' Roll band Fitz Roy to ask some questions about their new album "Tenji". 

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

The TENJI album is quite versatile, we tried to convey the entire spectrum of emotions that a person can feel - from despair to aggression, from parties to philosophy. Music within one album can be intriguing, when you listen to such a record for the first time, you never know what awaits you.

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?

TENJI for us means an era, a dimension in which there is a world similar to ours.

3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?

Each of the three members contributed at all stages of the album creation - lyrics, instrumental parts, sound design, arrangement of tracks, each of the members focused on his main instrument, but the engine of the process is Oleksandr, a vocalist who was engaged in sound production - he formalized all ideas into one piece.

6. Are there some lyrics that you´d love to share?

Believe in yourself, in your ideas, be in the moment, don't forget to enjoy life, and know how to relax: "We were dreaming unaware, building castles in the air with you, with you".

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

This album was created 5 years, during this time a lot has changed in life and it is a kind of sublimation of everything experienced. A special role in the formation of the idea was played by our interest in Asian culture in the last few years. Torii - the border between the mundane and divine spaces, mark the entrance to TENJI, geisha bewitch, transfer the knowledge of GAZOLINE to the chosen ones, and lead them to other worlds. We hope listeners will feel the range of emotions that we sealed forever in this album, emotions that will resonate and help them in difficult moments, or accompany powerful parties, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Papa roach, Korn made a great contribution to our personalities and this work - you are incredibly cool! Relatives who were there in difficult times, simply acquaintances who do not care - thank you for being there, you are our engine!
