Interviews: Eldprov

This is a new interview with the Melodic Death Metal band Eldprov from Sweden. Check out the entire interview and give them a follow on their FACEBOOK PAGE

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or came out just like that?

We knew that we wanted to have a Swedish word and something that would resemble a struggle. Eldprov is a translation of "Trial by fire" or "Acid Test"

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Extreme Metal has always been a part of our lives, especially the 90's metal that came out of Scandinavia.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, for several years. We grew up in the same area.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Tough one! At the moment,

Ante: The Crown, Panzerfaust

Jonas: Meshuggah, Judas Priest, Symphony X to name a few

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Some use yoga, others meditate to find peace in a stressful everyday life, and I find peace in writing music.

6. Where was your last gig?

Eldprov has not played live yet.

7. Where would you like to act?

Sticky Fingers in Gothenburg is a great building for gigs. Hard to say, there are loads of them out there.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Depends on the atmosphere of the particular song. We have a lot of guest appearances on the upcoming album which we are very pleased with.

9. Who not?

Anna Book

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

You are always a little bit nervous before a gig, mostly for the technical part. We can't give any tips on how to beat stage fright more than the knowledge that every band fucks up at some point on gigs, except Meshuggah, they are like a machine.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

11. The Crown, Judas Priest, and Edge of Sanity to name a few

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Must be that fan who sent us what looked like an old pergament, that he wanted our autographs written in blood.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Solid, Loyal!

14. What do you think of our site?

Looks professional with a ton of info about bands. Great job!

15. Something to add?

You got to have raw onion on a burger, always raw onion. Thanks, Cheers!
