Interviews About Albums: NeroArgento - Land Of Silence (2022)

In this new interview, we sat down with the Italian Metal artist NeroArgento to ask some questions about their new album "Land Of Silence". 

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

I’m super excited about my brand new album 'Land of silence'. This is my most consistent one, and every track sounds distinct. I always loved to contaminate and mix a lot of genres together trying something new, but as my past album “Circles” shows with its results, keeping a strong line and working on that is the best choice. I’m also super satisfied because I did and played everything on my own. The album has super melodic and mainstream moments but keeps the focus on that line, so this is an industrial cyber metal record, while in the past the only kind of music definition could be classified as 'crossover'.

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?

I thought about calling my brand new album ”Land of Silence” for almost two years. I needed something with a strong “visual” meaning, like a land that doesn’t make any sound anymore, a land with a very sick life due to human stupidity.

3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?

Well, I’m the only one behind all this…I wrote, played, and recorded all you can hear in the record, if I did well only the listeners can confirm that.

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

That’s a very hard choice..but in this case, I can confirm that the most important thing about my music to me is contamination, so I would pick the most contaminated song “The Nameless One”.

5. Is there a particular message in this EP/CD? If there is what it is?

Sure. As I said the human race is failing everything it can fail, in one of the worst possible ways. But there’s always a way out, first of all, the first step should start with every single person on this planet and the way he lives.

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

I think the most significant words that can explain the general mood are contained in my first single “The way I am”: “when everything you see just brakes me down and nowhere seems the only way to go, I’m not here to give up.”

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

Of course my family first, then all my close friends, I thank them all. I listen to a lot of different kinds of music, everything..and that’s the secret to being constantly inspired.
