Interviews: Primaterra

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It wasn’t an easy task. We spent months trying to find the right name. But some in our music direction - each had a different perspective on what the name represents, and we wanted it to reflect there, so we started thinking about where we come from musically, what we want to convey in our lyrics, our sounds, etc. And while recording our album Devolution in France we concluded that our music is very much rooted in earlier genres, but with a modern take on it, so - Primaterra, Primal Land.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We love heavy, raw music and come from similar yet different backgrounds. The music we play reflects that. We love combining our different influences and how we see music into this thing called PRIMATERRA. We are excited to see what will happen to our music as we progress as a band.
