So sit back and join us as we delve into the world of ONDFODT and follow them on Facebook to stay up to date with their news.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Ondfødt was a name I had in mind a long time ago that I wanted to use if I ever would start a black metal band. The band name means that you are born evil, not like you are a full-born psychopath that will murder everyone around you but more like you have dark visions and dark minded in general.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I grew up listening to all the classic bands such as Mayhem, Dissection, Gorgoroth, Watain, and so on. So to me, it came naturally to wanna play the genre I am burning for.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

It was only me, Owe Inborr, and Mikael Kåll in the beginning but now with today's lineup, we didn't know each other when the band started.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

I can't tell what the other band member's favorite bands are but I listen a lot to Valkyrja nowadays.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The dark history and urban legends from Ostrobothnia, Finland where the band is from.

6. Where was your last gig?

Black Sheep Pub & Terrace where we had our comeback show after almost 9 years away from the stage.

7. Where would you like to act?

Ofc it would be cool to play at those big festivals like Wacked or Summer Breeze but we are happy for any show at the moment because we just got back to live again.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

...And Oceans would be cool to gig together with. They are from the same city as we are and we are good friends of the band. Also, their singer is playing bass live for Ondfodt.

9. Whom not?

Any band that is driven by politics. No matter what side they take, music is about music and emotions and not politics.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I believe we all have in the beginning.

Just play a lot and you will eventually get over it.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

The whole 90's black metal scene is a huge inspiration to us. Legendary bands like Mayhem, Dissection, and so on.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

I don't know if I have got any weird questions that I can think of.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Ofc we love everyone who supports us and like our music. We wanna give our fans as much as possible and we are looking forward to grabbing a beer after the shows with everyone that enjoyed it.

14. What do you think of our site?

I hadn't heard of it before but I will check it out!

15. Something to add?

Thank you for the interview. Hope you all are doing great!
