Interviews: DEATHROLL

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Extreme Metal artist, DEATHROLL from Japan. Check out the interview and follow the artist on his FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

When they started their activities, they tentatively named themselves DEATHROLL and have been using that name ever since. 

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I've always loved black metal.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

The band is KAZU's solo project band, the other members are SUPPORT. However, we have gathered a group of talented people who recognise DEATHROLL's music and cooperate with us.

4. Each band member's favourite band?

Bass player ONITAKE likes brutal, technical death metal bands like DEATH, Cannibal Corpse and others like me. Also, TSUKAMOTO on drums comes from a classical background and is a player who has undergone tremendous drumming training without sticking to any particular band.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

When I usually listen to various favourite bands, I come up with my own interpretation of the music. I often use that as inspiration.

6. Where was your last gig?

I don't often willingly go to see other people's gigs, but I often watch my co-stars perform when I do. Tokyo gigs.

7. Where would you like to act?

EU and other festivals

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We want to do this with a variety of metal bands that are competent.

9. Whom not?

We refuse bands that are too catchy and that would damage their reputation by performing with us.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

I am much more nervous about going on stage now than when I first went on stage. Because I'm starting to feel more responsible for the band DEATHROLL. But by taking on the pressure and trying again and again, you gain confidence in yourself.

Judas Priest , Morbid Angel,X Japan, and Morbid Angel

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Being asked to give me a bromide.

Friends fighting for life together

I think it's a very cool and sophisticated website
