Down The Sunset - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore/Post-Hardcore band Down The Sunset from Austria, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
The band name came from no exact idea, it was spontaneously decided by us after a little brainstorming. We liked this name simply the best.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
This question is easy to answer: we just like that kind of music, that’s it!
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Down The Sunset really began in November 2010. Prior to this Martin, Phips, Vali and Dani have played together with many other people and have tried to promote the project. In No-vember 2010 Flo completed the band and from this time on Down The Sunset was born.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Martin – All Time Low, Wolves At The Gate, Yellowcard, Story Of The Year
Dani – Bless The Fall, A Day To Remember
Phips – Killswitch Engage, Metallica, Trivium, As I Lay Dying, Bullet For My Valentine, In Flames, Soilwork, Eskimo Callboy, Rise Against
Vali – La Dispute, Touché Amoré
Flo –The Ghost Inside, Wolves At The Gate, In Hearts Wake, Architects, The Amity Affliction
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
It depends. The lyrics deal with everyday commodities, daily experiences, with events around us or what we have experienced – good or bad!
6. Where was your last gig?
It was the last gig of our Weekender-Tour – it was in Austria, about 20 minutes away from our hometown. The show was pretty cool and a perfect end of our tour.
7. Where would you like to act?
Everywhere – in our friends garden, at parties and of course at all venues we know ourselves and where we see concerts. :-D This list can go on and on forever, there are no limits!
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
We had the possibility to share the stage with really great bands like Memphis May Fire, Our Last Night, Secrets and many others! But if we could choose some bands, this would be: Wolves At The Gate, The Amity Affliction, August Burns Red, Parkway Drive – but there are so many great bands all over the world. It would be a pleasure to work with every single one.
9. Whom not?
That’s a good question. We guess there are no bands, no artists on earth we wouldn’t ac-cept!
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
We think everyone knows that feeling! Every time when we hit the stage, we have that fee-ling. But in the meantime we are more more relaxed, experienced!
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
For every band member there are different influences and genres in the preferred genres Metal/Hardcore/Punk. We also take our inspiration from all the live bands we have seen on stage and which impress us, if they’re a local band like us or a big band, it really doesn’t mat-ter!
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Nothing weird.
13. What do you think of your fans?
We are pleased to get to know new people at our concerts every time. And we are also gra-teful that people came out for us to concerts, buy our merch or want to take a picture. That's a great thing!
14. What do you think of our site?
It looks very stylish, full of interesting information, detailed, packed with interviews of amaz-ing bands and there are so much news for fans of a lot of bands out there all over the world – we really like it and the idea of supporting bands and their music!
15. Something to add?
