Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Melodic Hardcore band Pensilvania from Brazil, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1 .Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The name really came out unexpected. I, Lucas (vocals), and Wesley (bassist), we were on the train station going to anywhere. We did bounce some ideas and tried some names of states and counties, until Wesley said he liked the sound of Pensilvania. That sticked.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Lucas: We never did chose a specific genre; we just started playing music that we like to hear. We play with passion because we love and believe in our music.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I (Lucas) and Wesley had the idea for the band since 2013. We could never land the project because the members we tried playing with always had their own projects or did not share our vision. It was on mid 2014 that I met Vitor and Wesley brought our first singer, Diego, on board. We tried some drummers and Matheus fitted in nicely. When Diego had to part ways, I took the responsibility of singing and we invited Nathan, who we met on our first shows. ‘Than was excited with our music and was a perfect match!

4. Each band member favourite band?

Wesley: We all love Alexisonfire, La Dispute, letlive and August Burns Red. Avenged Sevenfold is other band that influences greatly on the guitar work, and Fresno (emocore band from Brazil) is other amazing band that we all like.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Wesley: When we are writing, we try to look up to day-to-day problems and living in a big city that is not that big. We tell stories through our songs, from personal origins to goals and beliefs.

6. Where was your last gig?

Lucas: Our last show was in our hometown, Porto Alegre. We played with Fermo, Emmett and other amazing local bands. It was a blast!

7. Where would you like to act?

Lucas: For Brazilian bands, the American scene, this movement of truly amazing bands is a dream, a goal. We all watch Warped Tour, it is going to be a dream come to life if and when we are able to play in such events.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Lucas: It would be a great day when we tour with our influences. Alexisonfire, August Burns Red, Bring Me The Horizon, A Day To Remember.

Wesley: Smaller acts such as Touché Amoré, La Dispute, Title Fight and others would bring is the same joy, but we look up on touring with Brazilian bands too, as John Wayne, Project 46, among others!

9. Whom not?

Lucas: We surely wouldn’t like to tour with people that don’t believe in music, in the power that it has.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Wesley: I was pretty stricken at my first gig with Pensilvania. It was a show on Imbé/RS, which is a city located on the northern coast out on Rio Grande do Sul. I can say this, though: although you may be nervous, leave all nervousness before hitting the stage. People are there to see you, it is your obligation to put out your best! Also, practice. A lot.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Lucas: Letlive is an amazing band that puts on a raw show. I like to watch their performances on youtube. I have watched a whole bunch of videos of Guns N’ Roses, they always have had a great influence on me. Axl Rose is one of the best singers out there. There are local bands here at Porto Alegre that put out a great show to watch, too. I’d like to point out Além do Fim, A Tear That Falls and Infinitum.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Wesley: It wasn’t so much as a request, but at our first mini-tour, there was this girl who was on her way to greet us for the show we just did and Vitor did not see her coming. End of story, he hit on the face with his guitar. Fun day. hahah

13. What do you think of your fans?

Lucas: I’m not going to be pretentious as to say we have fans and fans, but we do appreciate people coming to our shows and supporting the underground local bands. There’s few people doing it these days, but the ones that do help a lot.

14. What do you think of our site?

Wesley: It is a great idea, I’d like to thank you for the opportunity and wish the best, because this kind of project helps everyone. Bands, promoters, fans.
