Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore band Acaedia from USA, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Ray: I came across the word Acedia, and I thought it was cool because its meaning went well with some of the concepts the band encompasses lyrically. I just changed the spelling to Acaedia because I love to complicate people's lives.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Ray: As you may or may not know, I used to be in a technical death metal band. After parting with my previous group and taking some personal time, I decided I wanted to get back in the game, but I wanted to try something different and that would challenge me as a vocalist.

Eddy: All of us have had experience in Metal, each of us specializing in a specific sub-genre. We feel this helps us take different approaches in the writing process.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Ray: Definitely. We all come from different local bands. We've known each other for quite some time and are very close friends.

Jesus: I knew most of the guys from previous bands except Eddy.

Eddy: Yeah, I'm the youngest in the group so I had actually watched some of these guys in their old bands. Then Abel and I started our own band and played alongside these guys a couple times. Now we're here.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Ray: My favorite and greatest band of all time is The Black Dahlia Murder.

Javi: Misery Signals

Jesus: I'm really into the band Stick To Your Guns right now.

Eddy: I've actually been listening to Myka, Relocate and the newer Volumes album nonstop!

Abel: Not sure about that one...but mine is TDWP

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Ray: I write all the songs. I play all the instruments and record everything myself. The other guys are just there to look pretty. I kid lol. I draw my inspiration to write from everything around me.

Javi: I guess things that occur in my daily life and also music

6.  Where was your last gig?

Eddy: Our last gig was at a local venue called "Anonymous Guitars" alongside some great bands and good friends!

7. Where would you like to act?

Ray: Everywhere!

Abel: Anywhere.

Javi: Warped Tour

Jesus: The Culture Room (venue in Florida)

Eddy: A sold out auditorium…even if we're just the opening act. LOL.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Ray: From the top of my head, I would most definitely like to collaborate with Dani Filth of Cradle of Filth.

Eddy: Not gonna lie, I'd love to feature with BabyMetal

Jesus: Fit for a King

Abel:  Just good, well mannered dudes that are down to keep the show going and have fun

9. Whom not?

Ray: Can't recall anyone that has pissed me off enough for me not to want to work with them.

Javi: Same

Eddy: Hmm...IceJJfish

Jesus: Escape The Fate

Abel: People that are negative, full of hatred, and always mad,

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Ray: Of course. My first show was pretty scary. I even dropped my microphone upon my "big entrance".  You just have to lose yourself in the music and have fun. If you're having fun, the crowd will most likely have fun with you.

Javi: Best tip i can give is just focus on yourself while playing and forget about the rest.

Jesus: Not really, I usually get more of an anxious feeling to get on stage and play. Feels great!

Eddy: Stage fright is definitely a hard thing to get over. I think the best advice to give is that you need to realize that people will judge you no matter what, so why not be judged for doing what you love, which is going on stage and performing your heart out!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Ray: The list is too long. A band I've been listening to lately is Architects. I guess you can say I've drawn some inspiration from some of their latest work.

Javi: Deftones, Misery Signals, Explosions in the Sky, Architects

Eddy: Bandwise, I'd say we are inspired by bands like Architects, Periphery, Misery Signals, Explosions In the Sky, and As I Lay Dying.

Jesus: Personally, probably Slipknot just because they have done it for so long and have made a living off of their genre of music.

Abel: Of mice and men, Confide, TDWP, Northlane

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Ray: I've never really been asked anything I would consider weird. lol

Javi: Yeah, can't recall.

Abel: Not many have asked me for much lol

Eddy: We haven't received any strange requests just yet. On the contrary, we've actually received messages via Twitter asking for advice on starting a band and other relevant things, which is a huge honor!

Jesus: I always feel weird when anyone asks me to sign anything, I'm just a normal dude. Lol

13. What do you think of your fans?

Eddy: They're the greatest! We try our best to talk to them all the time, especially on Twitter. There are so many bands out there to follow, and they choose to follow us. It's an amazing honor that they do that so we always try to remind how amazing they are.

14. What do you think of our site?

Eddy: Breathing the Core is a great site that connects listeners to newer upcoming bands. There aren't many sites that have that as their focus, so it's a pretty innovative concept. We're also really glad to be interviewed by this site!

15. Something to add?

Our debut EP "Dawning" is out now! Give it a listen and if you dig it, help us out by buying it. You can get it on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, AmazonMusic, and Bandcamp. You won't regret it!
