Forever In Depths - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore band Forever In Depths from UK, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview! photo credit : @LJRphotography
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
With Forever in Depths it was just a case of the 5 of us picking a bunch of names and deciding which one suited what we were going for. Forever in Depths just seemed to fit so we all voted and that is what we chose and we couldn't be happier with how it's turned out so far!
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
We love playing metalcore! It's the genre we've grown up listening to and it has seen us through lots of memories and great times. We've watched the bands and the genre that we love evolve and grow to become what it is now and we are honoured to be part of this scene. The fans and the crowds are always lively and there is always such a energetic and friendly vibe in the metalcore community. That's why we wanted to play this genre.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
We've all known each other for years in Forever in Depths. Most of us went to school together and we were all good friends before we started the band. Through being in a band we have all become closer and stronger as friends.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Jake (vocals) - Architects/Underoath/Beartooth.
Anthony (guitar/vocals) - Northlane.
Danny (guitar) - Underoath.
George (bass) - Underoath/Emmure.
Luke (drums) - Thy Art is Murder/Volumes.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
The things that inspire us to write songs are the problems that we all face in the world. We all have very strong views and personal convictions so we try to capture the emotions and feelings we have on these issues and express them as best as we can in our songs.
6. Where was your last gig?
Our last show was in Southampton, UK, at the Talking Heads with the mighty For I Am King and our friends in Greiver, Parallaxis, Forgotten Shores and Follow The Water.
7. Where would you like to act?
We would love to play everywhere and anywhere with anyone and to as many people as we can! We are grateful for every show we get and every single person we get to meet when we're playing shows. But a dream show would be to support Architects at any venue anywhere.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Like we said we'd love to play/ feature with anyone, anywhere and we'd be grateful for every show we get!
9. Whom not?
There's no one we wouldn't play with, we just love playing our music and meeting new people, so anyone we can play in front of and meet we will endeavour to do so!
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Most of us don't really suffer with stage fright, sometimes we get a bit nervous but the best way to get through it is to just go out there and do it and not really care too much what people think. You're doing this for you not for other people, it's just an added bonus if people like you.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
The band's that have inspired us the most would have to be Architects and Northlane. They are two huge bands that really know how to make amazing music. Another band that inspire us would have to be Bury Tomorrow, they're local to us and are heroes to us. They have shown us that it is possible to get where we want to be regardless of where you're from and who you are.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
The weirdest thing a fan has ever asked us for would have to be the rights to one of our songs. It's a really old song that we never play anymore but him and all his friends really like it so they asked for the rights to the song. We said yes of course! We really do hate that song.
13. What do you think of your fans?
We love each and everyone one of our fans and we are so grateful for the support and patience they give us. We love every minute we get to hang out with new and old fans and we wouldn't want to do this without them all.
14. What do you think of our site?
Breathing the Core is a great site which allows new and upcoming bands to be heard and recognised by a larger audience than previously possible and that service is one that is very rare and should be very highly respected. With Facebook policies only allowing posts to go out to a small percentage of people that like your bands page and with the scene being as competitive as it is, Breathing the Core are one of a few vital sites that help new bands find their feet. The site itself is always friendly as has a good vibe. The admins and people behind the page set it up to promote new music, so it's a brilliant site in our eyes.
