D.A. Photo

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Rock/Post-Hardcore band Deaf Autumn from Italy, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The band name came out during rehearsals, it was Autumn season and we wanted to involve it in our name, “Deaf” just sounded good to be used in a music project.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

It just came to us as a desire to express ourselves in this way. Me (Torti, bass player) and Dave Ricci (guitar and vocals) were friends since a lot of time and we always loved this kind of music, now that we had the chance to build a band,we had no doubt which genre to play.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, Me and Dave were friends since 2003, Davide the drummer came as the last one.

4. Each band member favorite band?

Ricci: Ramones

Torti: Papa Roach

Ciccarelli: Green Day

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Everything that comes to our lives, every single emotion that we feel, we keep it tight under the skin and then let it go through instruments. Lyrics are written just after that, we tell about personal experiences or dreams, social problems and soul journeys.

6. Where was your last gig?

We were opening Hopes Die Last show in our city (Alatri, middle Italy), was a hell of a gig!!!

7. Where would you like to act?

Oh well... Everywhere! We just love to play live and get to know new people through our music.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Personally I would like to feature with Jacoby Shaddix from Papa Roach, he is always so full of energy and I like his style, both singing and rap.

9. Whom not?

Really, no idea.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Sincerely not... Well maybe the very first gig of our career were a bit nervous and shaking, but the energy of a gig always wiped out everything fright moment. The only tip I can give is to try to be comfortable with ourselves, as much as possible, because people attending the gig is like a sponge and drains everything you send from the stage… So have fun and people will have fun too!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Guess Funeral For A Friend, Papa Roach...

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Oh to sign their boobs! That was the sexiest, not the weirdest!

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are definitely our fuel! It’s just great the way they enjoy our music, they get into it and give back a bunch of wonderful emotions. Every gig is like a party full of nice friends to have fun with!

14. What do you think of our site?

It’s technically very good, easy to browse and full of great bands, I found it usefull cause of the amount of nice tools dedicated to bands. A lot of nice bands to discover. It’s something very nice from you.

15. Something to add?

First of all, thank you for let us breathe outside of our rehearsal room through your window, your site. We appreciate it much more than you can ever imagine. Hope to meet you soon again, have a great life Breathing The Core!
